Obviously if the threat is greater than you can manage on your own you call for reinforcements, dogs, riot trained officers, firearms officers, taser etc.
The Association was formed at RAF Newton in 1984 by serving and ex-members of the RAF Police and Provost Branch. Membership is open to those who have served, or who are serving, in the Royal Air Force Police, Provost Branch, Admin (Prov & Sy) Branch, Auxiliary Police and Kennelmaids.

The Royal Air Force Police (RAFP) is the service police branch of the Royal Air Force, headed by the provost marshal of the Royal Air Force. Its headquarters are at RAF Honington and it deploys throughout the world to support RAF and UK defence missions.
This book traces the creation and development of RAF Police and describes in detail the wide ranging operations undertaken by this unpretentious but highly specialised branch of the Royal Air Force within Europe since 1918.
