6 dni temu · When a Poké Ball is thrown at a wild Pokémon, the game uses that Pokémon's catch rate in a formula to determine the chances of catching that Pokémon. Higher catch rates mean that the Pokémon is easier to catch, up to a maximum of 255. The formula also takes into account the following factors:

The Repeat Ball is a PokéBall that works best on Pokémon of a species which you have already captured or obtained. If the Pokémon is already in your Pokédex, the Capture Rate is 3. If however, it is not in the Pokédex, it has a Capture Rate of 1. A ball that works better on Pokémon caught before.
Repeat Balls are special Poké Balls that have a high catch rate when used on Pokémon you’ve already caught before (listed as “Obtained” in your Pokédex). Against Pokémon you’ve never caught, Repeat Balls have the same catching ability as regular Poké Balls.
