Check to see how solid the whole doorframe, or at least the bottom is. If it is soft and rotten, replace the whole doorframe probably, but that is unrelated to the dog damage. If not, find pieces of hardwood.
You can cut that square just above the damage and nail a matching piece in there. Fill the seam with wood putty or caulking and it completely disappears. You can tack that 1X2 back on.
LPT here: before you fix it! take a picture of the damaged door, print off picture full size in grayscale (because duh, and ink is expensive) and tape it to the new door when you replace it so your dog will think it already fucked that one up.
Get a chip of the wood trim and take it with you to the home improvement store and get them to color-match the paint (you may also be able to pull a piece of the trim off the wall). The other option would be to find similar trim at the store and replace the damaged piece.
