A FEVE Series 2300 train at Avilés in Asturias in 1977. Renfe Cercanías AM, [1] formerly known as Renfe Feve, is a division of state-owned Spanish railway company Renfe Operadora. It operates most of Spain's 1,250 km (777 mi) of metre-gauge railway.

6 maj 2024 · The FEVE line can be broadly split into three routes: Bilbao in the Basque Country to Santander; Santander to Oviedo (where local services serve the triangle of Gijón, Avilés and Oviedo); and Oviedo to Ferrol in Galicia.
28 maj 2024 · Renfe FEVE lines are almost exclusive to northern Spain, with the exception of one line running from Cartagena in the south to the coastal Los Nietos. In the north, you can catch the FEVE from Ferrol in the west, right across to Bilbao and down to León.
FEVE was extinguished on December 31, 2012, as a result of the Spanish Government's plan to unify the state-owned narrow and broad-gauge public operators. Similar to the process culminated with RENFE in 2004, FEVE's infrastructures (stations, tracks, etc.) were segregated in Adif. [4]
Renfe Cercanías (Commuter) Metric Gauge now offers an extensive network of narrow-gauge railways in the north west of Spain (Galicia) and in Murcia in addition to some provinces of Castile and León.
