3 lip 2018 · Moving of the Backup and Sync from Google app to the Trash and emptying it only removes the application bundle. It doesn't uninstall the Finder Sync Extension, application script, APFS container, preferences, etc.
10 mar 2023 · To delete the dedicated folder from Finder, uninstall the Google Drive app. Everything within the Drive folder is automatically synced up to drive.google.com. So first, you need to disconnect your account to stop syncing and secure your files on the cloud.
You can’t. It has added the extension to the Finder, to add context menus such as opening online and sharing directly (when within the Google drive). Outside the Google Drive it will offer to add a folder to the group of backed up folders (a holdover from the merge with ‘Backup and Sync’).
