I use a Keyboard Maestro script that launches at login, then activates Finder, right clicks on "Google Drive" using the 'Find Image on Screen' action, then clicks on "Remove from Sidebar" using the same action.
Ever since they forced me to switch from Sync, i've had the stupid Google Drive icon stuck on my desktop. I know i can hide all external drives but i actually need/want those to show up. Does anyone know how to remove/hide that hideous icon?
24 mar 2023 · On a Mac, press Cmd + Space to open Spotlight, then type "Google Drive" followed by Return to launch it. Once the app starts, you should see the icon. No matter your platform, click the icon to open a panel with info about Google Drive. On this, hit the Settings gear, followed by Preferences, to open Google Drive's options menu.
