It’s been possible to “link” and “unlink” your Oculus and Facebook accounts for years, but “merging” your accounts (e.g. to be allowed to use Quest 2) was supposed to be permanent and remove your Oculus account. If truly “merged” accounts can now be reverted back to Oculus accounts that’s big news.
You can remove an account already connected to your Meta Quest by performing a factory reset on your device.
