18 wrz 2019 · History does more than tell us what we have done well in the past. It also tells us where we have failed, where we should have done better. In this vein, some nursing history provides a counter narrative to the discourse that nurses have been victims in history.
Clinical articles focus on acute care, health promotion and prevention, rehabilitation, emergencies, critical care, home health care, etc. Columns present additional perspectives on clinical care, such as ethics, the law, practice errors, pain and symptom management, and professional issues.
1 maj 2023 · This article aims to provide guidance to the nurse educator using a nursing history framework and a 5-step approach to integrate history into an already saturated curriculum. Through meaningful integration of nursing history at the course level with intentional alignment to existing course-level objectives, student learning will be enhanced.

As two Registered Nurses with, between us, many years of experience of practice, education and research, we often find ourselves in discussions about leadership, influence and the “state of nursing.”
This qualitative study was conducted between 2018 and 2020. Eleven registered nurses were interviewed. The conversations were recorded in audio, were semistructured, and held in a mental health clinic affiliated with a Catholic institution. Narrative analysis of the data was carried out.
Broad historical answers are already known: In a segregated society and health care system, nurses of color had their own segregated nurse training schools well into the 1960s. However, we are now asked to dig deeper.
