When you reach out, express your gratitude for their guidance and mentorship, and explain your intention to apply for graduate school. In your request, offer context about the program you are applying to, the field of study, and specific details that might be relevant.
Referees are kindly requested to submit an online reference form, including a reference letter, to assist the University in making a full assessment of each applicant’s academic record and abilities.
You must register three referees as part of your graduate application. However, you need only two references submitted in time for the application deadline to be considered ready for assessment, as long as your application is otherwise complete.
18 wrz 2024 · Your referee can email their reference to us directly at futurestudents@ed.ac.uk. They must use their professional email address and quote your name, UUN and the programme you have applied for. We can upload the reference from there.
A recommendation letter for graduate school is a written endorsement of a graduate school candidate that is submitted with the application. Recommendations should be written by professional or academic contacts who can offer a credible perspective of the applicant.
