Last week, I received an email from someone who was apparently a recruiter for company X. Her first email was flagged as spam, but about an hour or two later her second email made it to my inbox. In the email, she offered me a position as a remote administrative assistant, saying my resume had been recommended by Indeed.

If you can’t confirm the job is real, it could be a scam. The FTC has resources to help you spot job scams. If you spot a scam, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
