Here's my take on Redline, based on the results I've seen to date and a fair amount of experience with synthetic lubes: Strong Points: 1) Probably the best shear stability of any multrgrade I've seen - even the 5w-40 and 10w-40 grades simply don't shear. If you look at the spec sheets, it's easy to figure out why.

For background this car has so far seen 1 OCI of M1 0w40 and 1 OCI of Royal Purple 5w40. While these oils can hold their own, in my observations they don't hold a candle to Red Line 0w40.

I posted the UOA here, and some commented that it looks like a new formula. I replaced the oil with the same Red Line 0W-20, purchased in September 2022.
