I ordered a Adelloni Queen Upholstered Bed Frame with Headboard from Ashley Furniture (linked below). However the headboard is hollow in the back (imagine a wooden shell that’s hollowed out and the back of the headboard is covered by a detachable cloth attached by Velcro).
I got mine from Amazon and was skeptical because of the price but ended up buying cause of the great reviews. It's pretty simple but you can add a headboard/footboard if you want. The best part is that I've had it for 2 years and it's still as sturdy as when I got it! No squeaking or anything.

I picked up my IKEA iron bed frame for $40 on Craigslist and it has never creaked once, even during recreation. The key to the rigid frame is the height of the sideboards and the vertical spacing between the bolts.

Check at rent to own stores, have almost new furniture cheap! Got my daughter a Ashley furniture set for about $500., headboard, nightstand and huge dresser w/mirror. She had mattress. Saw the dresser alone on sale for $399. at another store. Some stores, like Target have surprisingly great looking furniture!
