For endgame content with fully ranged builds, Mesmer has one of the best ranged builds in Condition Virtuoso, but also suffers from Being A Mesmer and might not be as enjoyable in the early game when you're leveling.
Necromancer: scourge and harbinger can be played entirely ranged. Powerful and meta, both are basically ranged casters with different playstyles. Elementalist: tons of options here! Catalyst and weaver both add melee weapons as options, but you can use most any of the "core" weapons on any spec. Staff is even getting buffed soon!
Jokes aside, luckily every class has both viable condi and viable power ranged options! If you look for builds I'd recommend looking for PvP/WvW guilds with guides and builds. Tho WvW and PvP are mostly different unless you look for 1v1 WvW skirmishes.
8 paź 2024 · I generally prefer ranged builds: it's good for exploration, a bit more response time against unfamiliar mechanics and it helps reduce the effects of 250 ping (namely running over and attacking enemies who are already dead).

13 sty 2022 · Condi scourge or renegade are simply the correct answers for solo builds with ranged options. The difference between these two and all other builds is the insane amount of free self healing and boons you can get from your rotation.
31 maj 2021 · With Shortbox + Axe/X + your pet can take aggro in pve; you have tools to keep enemies at range but also strong melee skills with traps, torch, dagger etc. Thanks for the replies, a bit bummed out ranged dps isnt much of an option in this game as I liked kiting and keeping my distance more in mmos.
