The Hahn’s Macaw (Diopsittaca nobilis) is also known as the Red Shouldered Macaw. It is the smallest Macaw, being 30 to 35 cm in length. Its personality is similar to the large Macaws. It is an excellent talker that can be taught many tricks and thus is much sought after as pets.
At 165g (5.8 oz) the Red-shouldered Macaw is the smallest of all the macaws. By contrast, the Hyacinth Macaw is 1400g (49 oz) or more.
