  2. I use an LED bulb for safelight, but make sure you test for fogging anyway. While a red LED is most likely safe, a lot of “red” led bulbs are in fact white leds with red filters.

  3. Decided to try out the headlamp after getting a red led bulb off amazon that didn't work out. Some said they use this one for their darkroom but it didn't workout for me. The test strip was from 2m away for 2 mins. As for the headlamp, very very minimal fogging.

  4. 15 maj 2011 · I put my safelight bulb in a regular wall lamp socket. You could use a thrift store lamp somewhere in your darkroom if you don't have a wall fixture in there. A dual fixture overhead with separate wall switches for the red light and the regular light is ideal IMO.
