13 cze 2009 · Update on what's been going on. I found an 89 Jeep 2.5L 5spd in great running condition (slight oil leak from the pan) in terrible body shape. I would like to do a full drivetrain swap (engine tranny transfer case). Is there any differences in the tranny from 89 to 95? What about the transfer case?
11 lut 2008 · A 4.0 swap is pretty much the same amount of headache as any other engine transplant, so it would be smarter to just buy a six cylinder Jeep to begin with if that is enough power for you. As far as getting big HP numbers, there isn't any real "easy" replacement for the 2.5, but some swaps have more aftermarket support than others.

12 sty 2018 · After owning a 2.5 and rebuilding one due to a junk piston I would say spend the time and money on a 4.0 swap or A Ls if your feeling up to the challenge. Since you pulled the engine out, it's the best time time move on with a better engine.
