20 lis 2013 · Parts worn out of spec are broken. Look for obvious wear and measure where you can. A cheap plastic digital caliper is useful for things like cam lobes, piston bores, etc. You will be able to tell if things are grossly worn for about $20. Out-of-Spec parts should send you shopping.
1 mar 2024 · This is the start of my CB450 build thread. I’m planning on some customization – not a restoration. We’re at t=0, and I’ll document here as I go along (but expect a lengthy process - I'm not in a hurry, and have too much to learn). I found this bike near me with a clean title and went for it.
In part 5 of our Honda CB450 engine rebuild the cylinder head is installed and torqued in place (copper washers on the studs with oil flow). Then the ever so tricky camshaft alignment and cam chain installation is locked down by pressing together the master link.
