The Reaver Shark is a pickaxe that can mine any blocks weaker than Hellstone, Demonite or Crimtane ores. On it can also mine Hellstone. It is one the fastest pre-hardmode pickaxes for many materials. It is attained by fishing in the Ocean with a Reinforced Fishing Pole or better.

2 maj 2020 · If you change the Reaver Shark to a Hardmode exclusive item, you can change its stats up to be in line with what would be expected of a HM item. My proposed change for the item would be to up its mining speed all the way up to 6, which is in line with the Picksaw, while retaining its current mining power of 100%.

What's better, spending multiple hours trying to get gold (or similar) armor and weapons and walking over, or spend 1-2 hours (or less depending on the world size and layout) building a way over the hard stuff (bridges over the crimson/corruption), and then spending 30min to get molten armor and weapons?
In 1.4 the reaver is garbage but before that its the best pick you can get until you beat the wall of flesh. Also, bee nades destroy the wall. I usually use the meteor armor with bee stuff.
