I want to upgrade the motor to the 540. I have bought one and a 18t pinion as per a lot of advice from some forums. I've tried to fit the motor but it doesn't touch the gears to engage. When I look at the old motor to the new it seems to be offset.

19 wrz 2021 · Yeah, there's less maintenance, but Torque Tuned motors are so cheap that you could buy ten for the cost of a sensored setup that drives as nicely. Now, if you want more speed, brushless is great. A moderately geared 13.5 is a great choice for 4WD, and a 17.5 is good for 2WD.
For example - i've got a stock standard Tamiya Hornet and i'm wanting to change the stock 540 motor in my Tamiya Hornet for a brushless equivalent. I'm not specifically chasing a faster car, and i'm happy to upgrade the ESC and whatever else a brushless setup requires.
