Someone figured out you could trick the camera pretty easily into going into "night mode" in daylight, and in strong sunlight, yes, the camera could see through certain types of clothing such as cotton.
You can go get a camera filter from just about any camera store that does the same thing. Also it doesn't see through all clothing, it has to be fairly thin material, almost sheer and light coloured. White works best.
