A Rare Candy is a Pixelmon mod item with ID pixelmon:rare_candy. In creative mode, it can be found in the Restoration tab.
This is a list of all crafting recipes for items introduced by Pixelmon. Please note: Held items and medicine items are no longer craftable in Reforged, pending implementation of a new system for obtaining them. Held items can still be obtained as rare drops from Mega bosses. Medicine can generally be bought from shopkeepers.

Does anyone know of the best way to get rare candies or just candies for Pokémon, I’m looking for somewhat of an automatic farm if not than what is the best way of obtaining them.
There's a mod linked on the pixelmon wiki called pokehunt-you get rewards for catching Pokémon with certain nature's. The rewards are fairly op with about 10 rare candies per correct Pokémon. If you don't want to add that mod then I'm pretty sure the only other way to get them is by killing bosses.
Bosses of all tiers are guaranteed to drop Exp./Rare Candies and they're an Uncommon drop from Raids. They're also rewarded for fulfilling certain Quests and can be found in Christmas Village chests and Legendary Pokéstops. You can make a datapack with a recipe for them.
