30 lis 2015 · I have a 2001 tandem trailer with the cool hubs. Noticed I have a rear seal leaking. I've maintained them pretty well over the years but this is the first time I've had to replace one.
To determine the correct replacement bearings, races and seals for the oil bath cool hubs on your Ranger Boat Trailer you will want to remove one of the hub assemblies so that you can take note of the part numbers on the existing components.

Tools you will need: 17mm socket for lug nuts (preferable 1/2" drive and a breaker bar) 7/16 socket for brake caliper pins (3/8" drive is best) Needlenose pliers (Vise Grip needlenose work best) Regular pliers. Channel Lock pliers. Large pipe wrench. Hammer or mallet. Two pieces of 2x4 lumber.

8 maj 2005 · Ranger Cool hub. by GW » Sat Feb 27, 2010 2:58 pm. I was just over at the storage working on my boat and noticed I have a cool hub leaking oil. I must have happened on the drive out. Its not cold temp related as the boat is in a constant 65 deg underground storage. So how do I fix this thing? Is it something that can be done myself? Thanks. Gary.
