Windows key + space bar changes between keyboard layouts (Japanese, US, any other keyboards you've enabled). Alt + ` switches between hiragana and Latin alphabet if you're using the Japanese layout. Those are pretty much the only ones you need to know (and they apply whether you use MS IME or Google).

7 kwi 2015 · You can then use the Japanese IME as the English input option by simply pressing Alt+~ to easily switch between hiragana and direct input (English). That at least reduces your keyboards by one. FYI, I use Google Japanese input.
On a Japanese keyboard, try Alt + the カタカナ|ひらがな|ローマ字 key (to the right of the space key). With Windows 7 you get a confirmation dialog in case you accidentally hit this key combination.
