10 gru 2019 · My new truck has 400 miles on it now and noticed going through the gages that the oil pressure seems so low it's between. 20-30 psi but typical is 22-24 psi just driving normal. When put foot in it lightly for better acceleration I have seen 32psi.
24 mar 2008 · oil pressure is around 100psi +- 10-15psi depending on weather at start up. once warm you need roughly 10PSI per 1k RPM Subarus run high oil pressure and at WOT will have roughly 100psi of pressure. the 25psi you are seeing warm is normal.
My Subaru engineering friend tells me the WRX sends 25-33% more oil back to the pan from the jet pump that scavenges the oil from the turbo sump. Thanks for all you do, as now on and off ramps have now become fun again. No problem. I ran this loop twice below. No video as it was 60mph in a 30mph for the purpose of science.
7 kwi 2012 · Upon cold start, oil pressure is around 110 psi. Once warmed up and driving, the car hangs around 30psi-60psi. Normally hits 60 when accelerating. Then once the car is warned up and stopped at a red let for instance, the car drops to around 10 psi. Car is torqued performance stage 2 tuned.
12 gru 2017 · What's our normal operating oil pressure psi during idle and driving (normal driving). Running 5qts 5w30 with 2qts of 5w20. Around 50-55. Start up 56psi. Warm idle 38psi. Driving 58psi. JIM. 2012 5.7 92k miles with valvoline synthetic 5w20 and mobil-1 filter.
12 maj 2022 · Starting cold the oil pressure is up around 90 psi. but gradually goes down and hovers around 30-40 psi when idling after a few minutes of warming up. When taking a test drive down the street, the engine revs over 2500 rpm and the oil pressure climbs to 80 psi then drops to 40psi as the transmission shifts gear and the tach reads 1500 rpm.
11 cze 2023 · Oil pressure at startup is between 90-100 PSI when car is at ambient temperature of 50-70 degrees F. I've read that Subaru has some pretty high volume oil pumps, judging by these pressures, it appears that we do. High volume pumps, or very small tolerances in the engine. Bearings, galleys, etc. I haven't been able to get an answer from Subaru.
