The optimal quest guide lists Old School RuneScape quests in an order that allows new Members to progress in a way that minimises the amount of skill training to completion of all the quests. This guide does not show the most efficient quest order.

I did RFD with a combat level very similar to yours and the ancient staff did great. It's very doable and I don't remember it being terribly difficult with super potions and sharks + karambwans for food.
Optimal Quest Guide. It doesn't help that shortly after in the guide ( https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Optimal_quest_guide) you left the "Train smithing from 51 to 65" and the way they have everything labeled is to maximize the speed and efficiency of going through all the quests.
I’m using the quest helper plug in on RuneLite sorted by optimal but have been somewhat confused by some of the ordering. For example, I’m about to start The Grand Tree quest and one of the recommended requirements is Fairy Rings but the quest to unlock those is way farther down the list.
