In Rainbows is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. It was self-released on 10 October 2007 as a pay-what-you-want download, followed by a retail release internationally through XL Recordings on 3 December 2007 and in North America through TBD Records on 1 January 2008.
Bangers + Mash is really aggressive and goes hard, but In Rainbows already had Bodysnatchers. Great song though. 4 Minute Warning works great as a closer for Disk 2, but at the same time it feels too much like a demo to be the closer of a studio album.
But if you watch certain details about in rainbows tracks when performed ',in the basement' (More obvious - visuals etc) it really does seem to support my theory that these fantastic swells or feels or whatever you'd wanna label these "hair-on-the-back-of-my-neck" moments... Are intentional.
I agree that disk 2 is underrated/overlooked. But I'd like to talk about the one-two-punch of the TKOL b-sides The Daily Mail and Staircase. Those two songs are killer.
