9 sie 2024 · Instructions for setting amp gain using test tones; Download 0 dB sine wave test tones of 40, 100, 400, 800, and 1000 Hz to your preferred medium (disc, chip, file, phone). Set your receiver’s EQ presets and the amp’s bass boost to the way you normally listen to your music.
4 sty 2011 · Test tones, For bass: I recommend using a 40Hz tone. For treble: I recommend using a 1000Hz tone. Make sure the tone is the same amplitude that you will use to tune your amp. If it isn't you could either be sending clipped waves from the head unit, or not getting full voltage through the RCAs. To begin you must explore your head unit.
4 gru 2021 · The decibel (dB) is a logarithmic unit used to express the ratio of two values of a physical quantity. 1 For power ratios the decibel unit is defined as follows: \[L_{dB}=10\cdot\log_{10}{\frac{P_{out}}{P_{in}}}\]
These test tones are sine waves meant to provide a consistent signal for the KX amplifier to reference. The different recording levels are designed to give you the perfect gain match for your application.
Play the test tone of your choice (0dB/-5dB/-10dB) for the desired gain overlap. Step 9. Increase signal processor gain(s) until maximum amplifier output is produced without clipping (again, listen for the tone to change from clean to raspy).
20 gru 2013 · I've set mine with 0db tones and am happy with the results, others will tell you use -5 or -10db tones to get the most power out of the amp. I've also heard that people will set their 4 channel with -5db tones and mono with -10db tones.
Play the test tone with the source unit. Use 50 Hz for subwoofer outputs and 1kHz for full range and high pass outputs. Turn the volume up to about 3⁄4 or 75% maximum output. Begin to turn the gain adjustment knob on the amplifier clockwise until you see the gain control knob illuminate red.
