8 mar 2010 · Get a turbo/manifold/downpipe from almost any kit (not ebay) like a Greddy (make the manifold cuts) or BEGI or basic FM, install the AFPR (looks like a flying saucer) and you're good to go. An intercooler is probably what decides the range of 150-170.
8 mar 2010 · I bought an expensive turbo kit a decade ago for my VW. I always thought the EIP kit was the benchmark of turbo systems...event though I constantly had to jack with it. The Begi kit blows it away, we'll see if its reliable.

I've been planning to upgrade my 1.6 NA mx-5 with a turbo and I am going with the flyin miata turbo kit, the problem is that it's from america and they have different rules concerning emissions regulations.
I have a 99, only 80k on the clock, but its going to get the Flyin' Miata Stage 1 Turbo Kit. I'll be keeping it CARB legal and saving myself the tuning time, but it will only hit about 190 whp. Perfect for me.
I’ve been on the fence about adding a turbo to my NA and am worried about the car being less reliable. I want to make around 225-250 hp. When looking at engine swaps vs turbo kits I’ve heard that engine swaps are more reliable but make similar power. Is this true?
