25 lis 2024 · A brand-new, modern Emergency Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital opens to patients from 8am tomorrow (Tuesday 26 November). Building work began in March 2023 following national investment of £58m to provide improved facilities for adults and children requiring emergency care across Portsmouth and the surrounding area.
The Queen Alexandra Hospital (commonly known as QA Hospital, [2] QAH or simply QA) is a large NHS hospital in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Located in Cosham, it is run by Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and has a Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit attached.

Please note, the North Entrance at Queen Alexandra Hospital is currently closed. An alternative walk-in entrance is available by the B-level Haematology and Oncology Unit, but patients are encouraged to enter the hospital via the Main Entrance (accessible 24 hours a day) and East Entrance (7.45am to 9pm).
