25 gru 2013 · Hi my 2003 Suzuki LT50 quad sport is not idling at all, as soon as i stop revving it up it cuts straight out. When i give it full revs it losses power and backfires. I have drained all the petrol as well as cleaning the carb and fuel petcock but still having the same problem.
When a quad keeps cutting out, one of the most common reasons is because the carburetor is either dirty, you have dirty fuel, water has mixed with your fuel, your carburetor is clogged, or your carburetor is damaged.
28 kwi 2013 · On the Meerkat I've cleaned the carb, replaced fuel line and put in a filter. Following the sticky I have set up the carb and can get it idling nicely with excellent throttle response. However soon as 1st gear is engaged and any throttle causes the engine to bog down and die.
9 lip 2010 · A small engine like that that idles ok but bogs under acceleration is usually one of three things; 1) air leak at the intake boot. A squirt of starter fluid at the boot while running will tell you. If it revs you have a vacuum leak.
