This Renaissance Revival edifice housed the fraternal order of the Knights of Pythias until 1914 and is sometimes referred to as Pythian Castle. The Order of the Knights of Pythias was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1864 and boasted one million members nationwide by 1900.
The Knights of Pythias still exist today. The organization boasts nearly 2,000 lodges across the United States and around the world. However, like the Pythian Castle in Bisbee, a number of the original structures have fallen into disrepair or have been re-appropriated for other purposes.

3 kwi 2023 · Built in 1904 and completely renovated in 2016, the Pythian Castle is an iconic and historic Bisbee structure. Guests have access to the entire 2nd floor, which features 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, as well as 18 foot tall ceilings in the “great room.”
