28 sty 2012 · Easiest way to do this: 1) Cut off the existing pvc/hose coupler and extend new pvc past the break in the hose. That way you are filling in the removed material with pvc and not with new hose. 2)Once your PVC extends past the break in the hose material glue a "threaded bushing" onto the pvc pipe.

26 gru 2020 · I typically use a 2" pvc union. Is that check valve spring operated or just a gravity flap? The union allows disconnect without being a clamp based fitting. Don't put any kind of sealing compound on the furnco - rubber doesn't like chemicals.
The technique of making a push-fit connection with a rubber gasket between a PVC-U or PVC-O pipe spigot-end and a PVC-U or PVC-O pipe or fitting socket, has shown to consistently deliver good quality pipe joints under a broad range of construction situations.
30 paź 2022 · You need a union fitting, which can be glued to each part with appropriate pipe stub, then screwed together (not pipe threads - unions are different, so they can do what they do.)
4 kwi 2011 · Normally I would use a 1-1/2 PVC coupling and PVC glue. However, due to some limitations I cannot pull pipes out to insert and glue a PVC coupling, so I am thinking about using a 1-1/2" Rubber Coupling. I used it once 5 years ago to connect PVC pipes under one of my sinks and it still fine.
