With two new stations – Westwood/UCLA and Westwood/VA Hospital -Section 3 of the Westside Metro Purple (D) Line Extension Subway Transit Project will provide the public access to busy work centers and social and entertainment venues from downtown LA to the Westside.
Metro’s plan includes better transit to connect more people to more places with Section 1 of the Purple (D Line) extension. This project extends the Purple (D Line) from Koreatown through Miracle Mile, adding three new stations at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega.
The Purple (D Line) Extension rail project will provide a transportation alternative from downtown Los Angeles to Westwood, including two stops in Beverly Hills: Wilshire/La Cienega Station and Wilshire/Rodeo Station. Travel time between downtown Los Angeles and Westwood is expected to be about 25 minutes.
