Personal property in the possession of a business but belonging to someone else should be assessed to its true owner (the lessor when a lease exists). To facilitate this, a section is provided on the assessment form to list leased or borrowed property.
All personal property should be reported to the county assessor every year between January 1 and May 31 to avoid a late assessment penalty of 10%. Check with your local assessor to see if online assessment is available in your county.
How Are My Personal Property Taxes Calculated? Pulaski County residents are required to give an appraisal of personal property by contacting the Pulaski County Assessor from January 1 st to May 31 st every year. Failure to do so will result in a 10% assessment penalty of the total assessment.
