PSP established the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History, or PATCH, for agencies, companies, and others to request criminal background checks on individuals. The information provided by the requestor will be checked against the criminal history database maintained by the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository.
Visit the Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History website at https://epatch.state.pa.us to complete a “Criminal History Record Check.” 2. Click on ‘Submit a New Record Check’ on the home page. An online account is not needed. 3. Read the Terms & Conditions and then click accept.
This Act also directs the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) to disseminate criminal history data to criminal justice agencies, non-criminal justice agencies and individuals on request. Criminal justice agencies can access all of an individual's criminal history record information (CHRI).
