It fails to find the file if you don't have it in the proper folder structure. PS4/update/PS4UPDATE.PUP
Everywhere on Sony's pages only show where to download the latest firmware 5.0. I tried to update to 5.0 and it basically bricked my machine so I'm trying to reinstall 4.55. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the old firmware? Thanks
However, that could be purely because there was just less people reporting issues on the older firmwares. On that same post, the 4.05 section tells you to update to latest (not 4.55) so they probably just haven't updated the 4.55 section to say the same.
