If you have gone ahead and bought a new PS3 Slim, or are contemplating buying one, then there are a few common problems you need to be aware of. Some of these are minor issues that are faced by all video game consoles, whereas some are unique to this particular console.
PS3 Slim is the best combination of reliability and performance. Superslim uses less power but feels very cheap in comparison to Slim. PS3 Fat is the most iconic and collectible of course, but tends to be hard to maintain and is the least reliable.
PS3 Super Slim - The BEST PS3 model for longevity for the following reasons: Maximum airflow and manual disc drive. Owning all 3, and having more than a few fattys die on me, this model was initially my least favorite but is now used as my main console to play on.
