I've got a used and (supposedly) refurbed 60GB PS3 fat, that's got a YLOD. I don't have the tools or experience to be able to repair it myself. Does anyone know of anyone reputable in the UK who could check the system over, replace the thermal paste if necessary and replace the tokins? Thanks
There is now a newest Syscon diagnostics method which can show you an error code and help you nearly pinpoint faulty components. Sadly, most of the YLOD cases still turn out to be RSX related. Here is a link for the Syscon diagnostics tutorial.
