Ps3 controller not charging and disconnecting in games. For the main menu of my PS3 and the menu of the games it works fine plugged in, but when I go to actually play the game it disconnects. I also noticed this on my pc, it did the same thing when I was using an emulator.
28 sie 2013 · I've been using MotionInJoy's DS3 tool to use my PS3 controllers to play games on my computer (specifically emulators like VBA, since Mother 3 can not be played legitimately in the US). It has worked fine until a couple of days ago when my controller began to connect and disconnect constantly.
The red light on the controller starts blinking when the battery charge is getting low. Try playing with the usb cable attached and see if it still disconnects. If it does, then it is probably something inside the controller that is glitching and/or needs re-soldering.
16 mar 2018 · When I connect my PS3 controller to the charger it doesn't start charging right off. I have to plug and unplug it so many times. I thought the cable might have a short but there is no pattern to when it starts charging.
17 sie 2010 · Turn on the PS3, connect the controller to the PS3, hold the PS button on the controller, then restart your PS3. Release the PS button when the PS3 is fully turned on. Was this answer helpful?
4 wrz 2024 · Reset your PS3 controller. If your controller works while plugged in, yet you can't play wirelessly, you can try resetting the controller: Turn off your PS3 console. Plug the controller into the USB port on the console. Turn on your PS3.
I have one controller that sometimes disconnects in mid gameplay for no known reason. Is this something that is somewhat common and has a known fix? Not a big deal but it’s stylistically my favourite controller (camouflage).
