Both should be same when it comes to reliability, I'd say take one that has lower runtime and/or warranty sticker intact. One advantage the 80gb has is it has a better smoothing filter than the 60gb. I have the 80gb model. I've had it since the mgs4 bundle was released, and it works flawlessly till this day.
Depends on what your use of the ps3 will be for. If your games are on physical copies than your just fine. If you plan to use it for digital games you will get maybe 6 big games on it.
