According to Microsoft, Windows 10 does still accept PS/2 inputs. However there might be issues with drivers, this forum discussion explains the process for troubleshooting it. Below is a direct quote from the Microsoft engineer in that thread detailing the various troubleshooting methods:
I want to find a way, using software, to interface my laptop and the PS/2 keyboard/mouse using the adapters I bought. Assuming you want to use the passive PS2-to-USB adapter you just bought to plug it into a USB port on your Windows 10 PC, then this will not work.
Eventually, I found this awesome little device which essentially allows your Atari, SNES, or SEGA gamepads to emulate a PS/2 keyboard! This means the game itself doesn't even have to support joystick or gamepad since the device maps controller buttons to keyboard keys.
25 kwi 2020 · You may update the PS2 mouse driver from Device Manager manually and check if this helps. Press (Windows key + X) and click on “Device Manager”. Expand “Mouse” or “Mice and other pointing devices”.
24 wrz 2018 · It lets you make a USB-keyboard to PS/2-computer converter out of an STM32F401C-DISCO board and a couple of resistors. This project is currently in development, but it's already functional enough to control a Linux PC via a USB keyboard plugged into a PS/2 port through this converter.
