The PS2 Bios on the top (the mediafire link) is linked to malware. If you care enough to do a Virustotal scan, you may end up seeing that it's filled with malware. To deal with this malware, take out the hard drive (or SSD) and just buy a new one.

16 sie 2022 · Config > Plugins/Bios selector. scroll down to BIOS search paths and select wherever you placed the bios. I noticed there was no bios folder for pcsx2 so i just made one and put the bios in there. I installed Emudeck, said I needed a Bios when I went to open a game.
21 paź 2011 · Here it is in steps: 1) Download the new PCSX2 v0.9.8 HERE. 2) PCSX2 comes in 3 flavors, full installer, web installer and binary. Full installer has the DirectX web installer bundled, web installer optionally downloads it from the internet, and binary is only the program with the plugins.
22 gru 2020 · Yes, bios are specific to PS2 consoles. But like anything else, they can be dumped and shared. You can use almost any PS2 bios with PCSX2. The only one the developers suggest not use is the very first one.

15 sty 2023 · As an example Play! doesn't need an external PS2 BIOS to work. PCSX2 needs a PCSX BIOS folder. The Core Info section says to visit this link for more information. Most emulators that require a BIOS will usually say (!) Missing/Found, Required/Optional: in the firmware section and then will mention the BIOS that the emulator needs to function.
