Called Assurant protection 360 again to clear it up and try to find a certified repair center near me and just get the screen replaced. I called twice both times for 20-40 minutes speaking to claim specialist.
Beware of T-Mobile Protection<360> Tech Support. I will keep this post updated with any positive endings. For now though, it appears that this plan is a scam. My iPhone XS Max had it's screen flicker last night and then went dark. I tried all the resets online as well as DFU reset and left it charging overnight, ...etc. It appears dead.
