5 cze 2023 · Anyone, a professional or a crime victim, can use the OVS Victim Services Portal to submit an online claim application for victim compensation. Undocumented victims of crime have a right to compensation assistance. OVS will not report you to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
The City invests in a robust set of services to help those impacted by crime as they move from crisis to stability. This includes large-scale programs like the Crime Victim Assistance Program, the Family Justice Centers, Child Advocacy Centers, and citywide domestic violence and crime victim hotlines.
The Office of Victims Services provides a safety net if you have no other way to pay for costs-including, but not limited to, medical bills, counseling expenses, burial and funeral costs, and lost wages-resulting from being the victim of a crime. Your family members also may be eligible for help.
