1 sty 2005 · Well the Proceed AVP2 is one of the best ever pre/pro to date! I have a AVP2 and it is by far the best improvement to my system. The AVP2 is a amazing 2 channel pre amp and when used as a dac it is better then most high end cd players on the market. There are no software problems, No relay clicking just pure sound quality.
10 lip 2013 · I picked up PAV to use as a stereo pre amp. They made a Proceed PRE which was the 2 ch version. The funny things is you can probably find the PAV much cheaper than the PRE as the latter is a nice stereo preamp while the former is seen as an obsolete HT piece. One of the best bargains around because of this.
I owned the original AVP since 1999 with Proceed's HPA-2 and HPA-3 amps. Was not exactly impressed with the amp's but was very impressed with the AVP's easy use and great sound quality for both music and video.
2 sie 2002 · I just upgraded my Proceed AVP to the new AVP2. The new DTS sound is much different from the old AVP. Also, the level is about the same as that of Dolby Digital and not 2-3 dbls. higher. Has anyone else any thoughts on this?

18 sie 2005 · I found I didn't need or want the latest 6.1, 7.1 etc but want Stereo, DD / DTS / THX done well which is what the Proceed gives me. Much better connectivity as well. Yes there are a few things that are dated but overall it is still highly competitive. Been through the Meridian and Lexicons as well.
16 mar 2005 · If you go for an AV9 or MC-12 you'll have to stick with analogue 5.1 of course. The upsides are (i) they are relatively cheap nowadays, at sub-£1k for the AV9 and ~£1.5k or less for the MC-12, and (ii) much better stereo performance, and improvements with SD sources too.
