Don't Bother with USAA Auto Loans. Banking. I have been a customer with USAA for half of my life, and I love working with them for auto/renters insurance. I had been planning to transition over to them as my primary bank, but currently I just have an auto loan with them.

TLDR: Avoid USAA's auto loan department. They are amateurs and a waste of time. This is round 2 of me trying to use USAA for an auto loan over the last 5 years.
I worked in auto loans and consumer loans for USAA and I’d say 7/10 times the rate was around 2% or less. Unless the car was really old, or it’s some private, practically everyone had low rates.
USAA deducted an Auto Insurance Premium payment from checking account after my policy was cancelled four days. My account is overdrawn, and my payment will not be refunded or returned. USAA can go have a coke and a smile.
