For colored spike, my suppliers just carry Pro-Gaff, but I also use P-661 for glow in the dark. Biggest challenge with P-661 is keeping people from mixing it in with the painter's tape. (None of the painters can tell the difference. If its beige, its masking tape.)
+1 for Pro-Gaff. It’s really the best out there sweet color choices too for that extra special color coded labeling.
3m is my fav but the most expensive, I use it for small or higher importance jobs and pro gaff for the rest. I avoid it if I can. Pro Graff if the situation actually requires gaff tape. I am primarily a gaffer and these are my preferences as well. I use ProGaf and ShurTape interchangeably.
