It started development in 1996 and was set to be released in 1997, but the game was cancelled due to the shrinking popularity of arcades.

1 sie 2023 · If you want to see all the Japanese language stuff, flip the Test switch, go to Game Options, and change English to Japanese in the Language Options. Regardless of if you choose to keep English or change over to Japanese language, all other changes in the game will be present.
26 wrz 2024 · Control: 8-way joystick. Buttons: 6. TRIVIA. By 1995, Atari had begun production of Primal Rage's sequel, simply titled Primal Rage II. The game, however, was never released even though a test arcade cabinet briefly appeared playable at the Golf Land arcade in Sunnyvale, California.
Apparently a special version of MAME was made for Primal Rage 2 called Mame for rage 2. Not perfect but game is playable. Well, it's apparently close to perfect.
