Our approach to teaching French verbs and conjugation is comprehensive and thorough. We cover the different tenses and moods, as well as some common irregular verbs that can pose a challenge to learners.
First, what you need to understand is that you have two types of tenses in French: the simple tenses and the compound tenses (temps composés). The simple tenses are made of one part. The compounds tenses are made of two parts: the auxiliary and the past participle.

French Verb Drills is divided into two parts. Part 1 offers concise expla-nations, charts, and focused examples of all French verb constructions, tenses, and moods, beginning with the present tense of regular and irregular verbs. Part 2 provides complete reference charts for common irregular verbs and verb groups.
Each of the questions asks you to make a sentence in the present tense. In each case, you need to pick an appropriate subject ("je", tu" etc), pick the correct verb from the list to the right of the questions, and then make sure you put the correct ending on that verb. The secret is to simply and only* learn the following: The present tense (which is actually called “indicatif présent”/”indicative present” in your dictionary, but is often refered to as “present” by default). There are ways to learn how to conjugate verbs in the present rather easily.
