23 gru 2004 · PPG K36 is a sand-able primer/sealer. It's is designed to spray over existing finishes, bare metal, etc to provide a consistent chemically stable surface for the topcoats to adhere to. Pro refinishers need this to go on fast, bond perfectly to *anything* clean and sand easily.

20 wrz 2014 · K36 is expensive, but its also a high-build primer that can be used to cover up surface defects. If you're just trying to get an even base for color coats, there are other primers out there that are thinner and more appropriate for that task vs. smoothing out the surface.
16 paź 2007 · It is a hi-build primer surfacer versus the K36 which is not hi-build. This means you can shoot fewer coats prior to block sanding. With K38, you can anticipate saving time since fewer coats need to be applied.
6 wrz 2007 · For instance, a quart of DP90 with hardener and quart of K36 (high fill primer) with hardener cost about $135 plus tax. The equivalent in the Shopline series costs $51 plus tax. Is the DP90 & K36 worth the extra $$, or would the Shopline series suffice? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
8 wrz 2024 · What's the going rate for K36 now? I quit using it a dozen years ago and use SPi turbo prime through a 2.0 tip. ALL urethane surface primers shrink, it's how you finish your work between steps that's critical.
